Mondi, IUFRO Collaborate On Sustainable Strategies Mondi, the international packaging and paper group, and IUFRO, the global network for forest sci- ence cooperation, will co-host an open dialogue at the IUFRO 125th Anniversary Congress this Septem- ber in Freiburg, Germany.The aim is to identify strate- gies and options for long-term structured collaboration between business and science toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Develop- ment Goals (SDGs). Mondi and IUFRO are both committed to the im- portant role of business and science in advancing ac- tion toward sustainable development, especially to combat climate change and its impacts, conserve bio- diversity and promote sustainable economic growth worldwide. The IUFRO 125th Anniversary Congress on Septem- ber 18-22 will highlight the contribution of forest re- search to answering questions of global relevance in the past, present and future. A series of Science in Dialogue sessions will offer opportunities to strengthen the interaction between science and important national and international pol- icymakers and stakeholders, and to build bridges to other sectors such as water and energy from local to global levels. Harper Hosts Training Seminar Harper Corporation of America recently hosted a training seminar at its DePere,Wisconsin, manufactur- ing facility specifically aimed at educating printers on the different measurement methods for verifying vol- ume on anilox rolls. These types of educational workshops are impor- tant because there is not a standardized measure- ment system in the flexo industry, said Alan Rogers, Vice President of Sales.
