Partial Hospitalization Program

O ur Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for individuals seeking intensive outpatient care for addiction treatment is comprehensive. The PHP at Desert Hope allows patients to engage in struc- tured therapy sessions without the need for residential stay, providing a flexible approach to recovery that allows participants to return home or to a sober living residence after each day's treatment. The PHP, often referred to as "day treatment," is the most intensive form of outpatient care, requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week over a duration of 1-2 weeks. Patients attend treatment sessions at the facility at least 5 days a week for 6 hours each day, participating in various evidence-based ad- diction treatment modalities including behavioral therapy (group and individual), psychoeducation, and peer support meetings. For individuals struggling with alcohol and opioid use disorders, Medi- cation-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is available as an option within the PHP program. Desert Hope recognizes that addiction treatment is not a one-size-fits-all process and offers a range of rehab and aftercare programs to cater to diverse needs. The right path to recovery varies for each individual, with options including short-term medical detox programs, month-long rehab programs, or extended 2-3 month addiction treatment plans. Upon leaving the inpatient facility, individuals can seamlessly transition into an outpatient addiction treatment plan suited to their progress and requirements.

In comparison to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which requires a lesser time commit- ment, the PHP at Desert Hope demands a more intensive schedule with a minimum of 5 days a week
