LGBTQIA+ ADDICTION TREATMENT PROGRAM T he LGBTQIA+ Addiction Treatment Program addresses the unique challeng- es faced by individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and other gender identities. Recognizing the heightened vulnerability of LGBTQIA+ individuals to substance use disorders as a result of discrimination, social stigma, and harassment, Desert Hope offers a safe and affirming space in Las Vegas where program participants can engage in open dialogue, process per- sonal issues, and receive specialized support tailored to their needs. The LGBTQIA+ addiction treatment program at Desert Hope serves as a beacon of understanding and acceptance, acknowledging the complex intersections of personal identity, trauma, and addiction within the LGBTQIA+ community. By creating a supportive forum for individuals to explore these connections, Desert Hope empowers participants to navigate their substance use disorders in a setting that celebrates diversity, fosters empathy, and promotes healing.
