Vizcaya Annual Report 2021-2022

A YEAR OF PROFOUND GENEROSITY

As we commemorate and celebrate five years as a nonprofit 501(c)(3), we are grateful for the commitment that our stakeholders have made through their generosity of time, spirit and financial resources. Our Board Directors, donors, members, James Deering Society, Ball and Preservation Luncheon supporters, community partners and elected officials each played an integral part in making this a year of profound generosity. In recognition of all that was accomplished together, we share with you the following highlights: Philanthropic Revenue Growth: Fundraising brought in over $3.3M—well beyond our goal for the year. New Donors: Increasing our reach allows us to expand our impact. This year, 500 new donors supported Vizcaya with gifts over $100. Record-breaking Events: Our two signature events sold out immediately, together hosting 540 attendees and bringing in over $1.2 million in revenue. The annual Ball and Preservation Luncheon are celebrated affairs of the Miami social season, and are attended by community leaders and philanthropists who value Vizcaya as an educational resource. Growing Community Support: On Give Miami Day in 2021, Vizcaya secured gifts from 77 donors and raised over $80,000. Enhancing the Gardens: Through the Garden Centennial Campaign, we have raised $900,000 of our $1.1 million goal to support three important garden restoration projects.
