King Solomon, the wisest man who has ever lived, wrote many proverbs which are in God’s Word. He told the lazy man to watch the busy ant carefully. Watching the ant work hard to provide food for his family would teach the lazy man how to be wise in his work. “He also that is slothful [lazy] in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.” Solomon said that as he passed by the field of a lazy man. Thorns and nettles had covered the field, and the stone wall around the field was broken down. Because the owner had been too lazy to leave his bed and too lazy to work with his hands, he would be poor and needy. God’s Word, again, says to Christians, “Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Col. 3:17). Laziness is a sin. Work is a part of God’s plan for human beings. One of God’s servants said that those who refused to work should not be allowed to eat. People need to work to keep themselves fit mentally and physically. There are some who believe it to be a disgrace to have to work. Rather, it is a bless ing to have the brains and the phys ical strength that make it possible to work. All honest work honors God; all laziness dishonors Him and harms the bodies which He has cre ated. Christians will not be content to do just enough work to “get by.” They will follow the commandment given by King Solomon, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.” to it. People might think you were revolutionary if you introduced new methods. 4. Come with a poorly prepared lesson. 5. Do not Introduce any fellowship among the young folk during the week. Never observe any special days in the Sunday school, as Children’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas. 6. If you should meet any mem ber of the class on a weekday, never mind about speaking to him if you are busy. If you do speak, never call him by name. 7. Do not introduce any new de vices. Use printed questions ONLY. 8. Do not use any contest methods. 9. Of course, if you are especially tired, you can sleep later than usual and not come to Sunday school at all. After all, the' Sunday school is the job of the superintendent and pastor, not yours. 10. Let the pastor, the superin tendent, and the teacher each have a separate aim and method of pro cedure. In case of difference, stick right to your own method. —The Pentecostal Herald. T H E K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S
