Explore well-known landmarks and locations throughout Dyersville! The day begins with a stop at the Field of Dreams and includes a tour of the first floor of the house and interaction with a “Ghost Player,” who will provide details about filming the famous Field of Dreams movie. After lunch, prepare to be impressed with the magnificent Gothic architecture adorned throughout the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier and a tour highlighting the church’s unique structural details. Following the church will be a visit to the Dyer-Botsford Historical House and Doll Museum. The Victorian mansion houses over 2,000 dolls, furniture, clothing, and many other vintage items significant to the history of Dyersville. Lastly, a self- guided tour through the National Farm Toy Tractor Museum will delve into the history and present-day advancements of Iowa agriculture.
