“Be Inspired fulfilled its aim of sending the Year 7 students away with increased knowledge about leadership and most important of all, confidence in their capacity to embrace it.” Darrell Thatcher He said as a Year 7 student he grabbed opportunities at school, knowing that there would be few times in life when so much was on offer. and Director of the Centre for Character & Leadership Darrell Thatcher. “Up to 10 students attend from each invited school (this time we went out as far as Rolleston) and everyone is given the chance to contemplate what makes a good leader.” The inspiration this time came from Cam Calkoen, whose whole life has been a demonstration of how to live the dream – even whilst having cerebral palsy.
