Anglia Ruskin - Director of Estates and Facilities

Thank you for your interest in Anglia Ruskin University. We’re an ambitious academic community and we’re proud of the lifetime relationships formed by those who work and study here, and of the friendly atmosphere – which visitors quickly identify as unusual for such a large organisation. Welcome

Dear Applicant Thank you for being interested in this exciting role. ARU is an innovative, dynamic and globally engaged university that is built upon very solid regional roots. After 25 years as a university we are starting to deliver a strategy that will build on the progress that we have made over the last decade and deliver a distinctive contribution to the education, research and innovation ecosystem across our region and beyond. One of the key components in delivering our strategy will be how we ensure that our estates and facilities support and enable our aspirations; the individual appointed to this position will play a central role in supporting the delivery of key aspects of our strategy. We want to ensure that we bring together our current strengths alongside new educational innovations, a strengthened research portfolio and wider engagement with the community – to this we will require our buildings to meet changing needs. We are looking for someone who can play a central role in the leadership of our university and who will work alongside myself and other members of our leadership team to ensure we deliver to our full potential. In doing this they will help create the nimble, agile and innovative environment that we need. I look forward to welcoming the successful candidate to our university. With best wishes Professor Iain Martin Vice Chancellor HR Services
