Education/Training Essential · Degree level or equivalent qualification/ professional membership in a relevant discipline · Demonstrable track record of continuing professional development in the built environment industry Desirable · Post experience qualification relevant to the role Experience Essential • Substantial experience of the management of a large, complex and diverse estate portfolio, with a track record of initiating, developing and delivering integrated estates strategies to support an organisation’s institutional strategy. • Experience of development and delivery of a £ multi-million estates masterplan • Successful experience of driving the environmental performance of a large and complex estate • Successful experience of driving improved space and asset utilisation and optimisation across a large and complex estate • Experience of working with local partners at senior levels • Experience of working with partners across the public and private sectors to realise estate development and infrastructure projects. • Experience of leading change across complex, multi-faceted operational services resulting in performance improvement in a relevant context. • Leadership experience gained within a large,

complex organisation with a track record for successfully inspiring and leading a large-scale, in- house staff cohort ranging from senior managers to operational professionals. Desirable • Wider experience of the full range of activities undertaken by a large university • Experience of leading a portfolio of hospitality and residential services as part of a wider portfolio of responsibility.
