Role Summary Reporting to the COO and working closely with the Vice Chancellor, the Director of Estates and Campus Services is an executive level role with leadership responsibility for the university’s campus estate & services, including: masterplanning & capital development; property, asset and space management; estates operations & compliance; grounds & parkland management; sustainability & energy management; residential services; & campus and commercial services. The University continues to grow. Our long-term capital plan, funded by this growth, identifies an investment plan of around £250m in our estate, to be delivered over the next 10-15 years. The role will work with our partners to develop and deliver this plan and flagship projects within it, including investment in our residential estate to redevelop our on-campus student accommodation, starting with a phase 1 new build of an additional 550 rooms opening in 2026/7. The role is a member of the University Executive Committee, working closely with other members of the university senior leadership team and Council, our governing body.
