The hotel The 3-star Heights Hotel is an iconic landmark on the beautiful Isle of Portland at the heart of Dorset’s World Heritage Jurassic Coast (although an island, Portland lies just across the water from Weymouth & is easily reached by road). This unique hotel has an impressive large marble reception-lounge at the entrance & on the first floor, the stylish open-plan restaurant, bar-lounge & bistro enjoy panoramic views across Chesil Beach & Portland Harbour. The hotel will be festively decorated with seasonal entertainment in the ballroom or the stylish ground floor café-bar! On New Y ear’s Eve we celebrate with a four-course Gala Dinner in the ballroom & live music from a Crooner, singing ‘Ratpack’ classics, Swing & Soul from the 50s, 60s & 70s & a glass of fizz to welcome in the New Year! Daily excursions & lunches The holiday will include excursions & light lunches daily but, as yet we await confirmation of New Year opening times for local attractions (only available closer to the festive season). A short drive from the hotel is the iconic view of Portland Bill & there is also a fabulous scenic drive along the West Dorset Heritage Coast Road running alongside Chesil Beach which we plan to include within the holiday itinerary once we know where is open to visit!
