FTA The Foundation of Flexographic Tech- nical Association (FTA) has announced that Alix Guyot, Joel Maxwell and Kris- ten Shields have officially accepted appointments as Committee Chairs for the Awards, Membership and Scholarship Committees, respectively. People & Places

Alix Guyot will serve as Chair of the Awards Commit- tee, working in partnership with Kelsey Schmidt, FTA’s Ed- ucation Delivery Manager. In this role, Guyot will oversee the selection of task force chairs for each of FTA’s major awards programs: Excellence in Flexography; Technical In- novation; Sustainability Excellence; Printer of the Year; and Supplier of the Year

role of Membership Committee Chair and will collaborate with Susan Raab, FTA’s Membership Manager. Maxwell will assemble and lead a group of 5-7 dedicated mem- bers focused on: Identifying and advising on top member prospects; Supporting member outreach initiatives; and Assisting with at-risk member reten- tion efforts Kristen Shields will serve as Schol- arship Committee Chair, working alongside Kelsey Schmidt. Shields will lead a committee of 3-5 members re- sponsible for: judging the annual FFTA scholarship program and selecting re- cipients; and recommending updates or improvements to the scholarship awards program. PGSF Receives Publishing Rights To Graphic Arts Textbook Kristen Shields The Print and Graphic Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) has received the full publishing rights and intellectual proper- ty to Introduction to Graphic Communication , the widely used textbook coauthored by the late Cal Poly Professor Emeritus Harvey Levenson and John Parsons, former Ed- itorial Director of The Seybold Report and Principal of In- tuIdeas. All proceeds from Introduction to Graphic Communica- tion support PGSF scholarships and grants, helping stu- dents pursue education and careers in print and graphic communications.
