Grain Bin is one of the most unique antique shopping experiences that you’ll find anywhere. Clustered on a hilltop in the scenic canyons south of North Platte, Grain Bin Antique Town consists of 20 historic grain bins and a massive barn that are connected by a boardwalk to form a huge and eclectic collection of antiques and primitives. Many of the individual bins contain unique collections from specific area collectors and dealers. You’ll find everything from old signage and advertisements to farm implements and even cow skulls to go along with all the other eclectic flotsam and jetsam you’d expect from well-sourced dealers in rural America. With constantly changing inventories there are new treasures both large and small to be discovered on each visit. In addition to hosting community theater performances throughout the year the Neville Center also shows movies on Fridays and Saturdays and hosts children’s workshops during the summer. The Fox Theater is on the National Register of Historic Places as a fine example of the “Picture Palace” style and incorporates elements from a variety of architectural styles.

Pals Brewing Company Pals Brewing Company has had Buffalo Bill’s Buffalo of Approval almost since the day they opened. Located on four acres just south of North Platte, Pals Brewing Company is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon or blow off some steam. There’s a rotating selection of craft beer brewed on site and no matter your preferred style — everything from light, crisp, lagers to hoppy ales and rich stouts — you’ll find something new to try. And while the beer is front and center that’s not all that Pals offers. Looking to spend some enjoyable time outdoors? There’s a reason Pals is located on four acres. You’ll find a wide variety of traditional tailgate games like cornhole, washers and polish horseshoes as well as bocce ball for those of you with more refined taste. If games aren’t your thing but you still want to enjoy the outdoors, there’s also ample seating outside the taproom. If you’re hungry there’s a great selection of hand-made pizzas and appetizers to go along with the great beer and cocktail selection. In addition to all that, stop by on Sundays from 1-4 for a Sunday Funday with live music and a special small-batch beer release. Life’s short and it’s just irresponsible to drink bad beer when there’s great craft beer at Pals Brewing Company, so stop in and find out why Pals gets Buffalo Bill’s coveted Buffalo of Approval.
