July 10-11 — Platte River Cruise Night, Cruise Night will bring to town a car show, pinup girl contest, swap meet, noise contest, kids’ activities and, of course, cruising. Headquarters for events will be the Harvest Christian Fellowship parking lot, from which cars can cruise down North Platte’s one-ways. For more than 40 years the North Platte Optimists Club has been hosting Fourth of July fireworks! It is the only display in a four state area that’s put on by an organization other than a city, county or a fire department. July 3-4 — Lincoln County Raceway, Red, White & Boom (Draw/Re- draw all Divisions), 5015 W. Rodeo Road. Qualifying heat races Friday, final qualifiers & main events on Saturday (fireworks to follow).
