Nov. 27 — Open Mic Night at Espresso Shop – An evening of heart- felt prose, poetry, music and fun for all! Twice a month, the second and fourth Fridays, beginning at 7pm. Dec. 5 — Platte River Fitness Series Jingle Bell 5K and Mile. Race starts at North Platte’s Recreation Complex. Visit www.platteriverfitness.com for PRFS participation guidelines, race information and to enter events.
Dec. 10 — Light Up the Bricks downtown Christmas parade, 5:30 pm.
Nov. 27-Dec. 23 — Downtown North Platte celebrates Christmas with events throughout the holiday season.
Dec. 19 — Golden Spike Tower Twilight Tour. Always the third Saturday of the month. Open until 11pm. 1249 N. Homestead Road, North Platte.

Dec. Date Not Set — First United Methodist Church, 1600 West E St., 31st annual Craft Fair beginning at 9am.
All month long — Cody Park Santa’s Workshop and Winter Wonder- land. The entire month of December, Cody Park is transformed into a Winter Wonderland with animatronic displays and special events such as hayrack rides, sleigh rides, Santa and more. Dec. 3 — Downtown Christmas Kids Fest, 4pm – 7pm. This interactive and fun event provides things to see and do for the whole family, plus kids can enjoy a visit with Santa. This event takes place at the Neville Center, Downtown at the corner of Fifth and Dewey streets. Dec. 4-5, 11-13, 18-20, 24 — Light in the Darkness Christmas Village Drive-Through, the historic Western Heritage Village at the Lincoln County Historical Museum, 2403 N. Buffalo Bill Ave., 5pm – 9pm. Build- ings and artifacts throughout the village will be adopted by individuals, organizations and businesses.
