Future Lift | The South African Royal Princesses Network
As Future Lift, we work with women and children. Some of our initiatives are rural and peri-urban-based. We do capacitation, or capacity building, in order to help them to better their lives through education. The South African Royal Princesses Network which I am a part of has the mandate to respond to GBVF and protection of children’s rights such as child trafficking and early child marriages.

The role of the media is quite important in amplifying the work of ending GBVF because it drives the conversation and informs the public about the progress and work to end GBVF. The challenge is that, currently, more of the gruesome GBVF stories are being mainstreamed, which skews the focus of attention from all forms of GBV that may not be as gruesome, but the gravity and impact are the same.
