DINOSAUR
Since the 1930s, an 80-foot-long Brontosaurus has overlooked the Rapid City’s skyline on Dakota Hogback Ridge. Built in 1936 as part of a Depression -era initiative funded by the Works in Progress Initiative to provide jobs and create a local attraction near Mount Rushmore National Memorial , the project has become an iconic part of the Black Hills.
