Our First Year Urban Choices Property is a wholly owned subsidiary of Housing Choices and operates as a commercially operated, not-for-profit property management and real estate agency. While it is a not-for-profit organisation, its business services are designed to generate a profit that is then invested directly into social and affordable housing projects and related initiatives. Since its establishment in April 2016, Urban Choices has been a hive of activity, experiencing 15 per cent growth. It now has 340 NRAS-registered properties under management and/or compliance support. Currently it has achieved a 99 per cent NRAS-compliance rate for Urban Choices clients. This year’s Resident and Landlord Surveys showed a 26 per cent increase in resident satisfaction compared with last year,

while landlord satisfaction rose from 78 per cent to 83 per cent - pleasing results for Year 1. With an aggressive 30 per cent growth strategy for the coming year, I came on board to manage the growing team and to ensure that targets and service quality levels are reached. The Urban Choices website, social media platforms and communications with landlords and residents are being updated and revised, with the aim of providing them with the latest market information and easy accessibility to Urban Choices property managers. The team at Urban Choices will continue to grow, in line with our expansion plans, offering the highest quality service to landlords, residents, developers and other community housing organisations that require a professional property management service and top-level NRAS compliance expertise.
