MPBA 2ND QTR MAGAZINE 2025 FOR WEB

Warm regards, Michael & Fred

A Letter From the Founder of To the MPBA Members, I hope this message fi nds you well. My name is Michael Hinkle, I am a disabled Veteran from Lebanon. Almost 2 years ago I met Ms. Ann and received an amazing black Lab (Fred). I am reaching out to introduce myself and 4 Pawz 4 Heroes, a nonpro fi t foundation dedicated to improving the lives of veterans and fi rst responder responders’, gold star families and surviving spouses through the provision of service animals. We are proud to partner with the MPBA (Board vote in Nov ’24) in our mission to support and serve those who have served and protected us.

I am going to bring up the Elephant in the room and get it out of the way. I know the MPBA has previously partnered with two other foundations. I am not them! I have a debt of gratitude to pay forward to Ms. Ann and the late Ms. Beverly!! As the old saying goes, third time is the charm. I am new to the Breeder world, I have spent most of my life as a soldier, Chauffeur & Bodyguard, and Dispatcher. I will have questions, I am sure. But I look forward to learning and working together and making lives better 4 pawz at a time. We are currently working on setting up partnerships with the Laclede 4H club for fostering our pups and Puppies for Parole for the initial training. During this year, our plans are to have a store front, with a pet store and groomer and a “Gear Exchange”. Once our sponsors and donations pick up, we will discuss with the board and discuss giving back to the breeders for the puppies they donate. If you have any questions, you can feel free to reach out to me at any time. We would be honored to share our goals and where we plan to take 4P4H.
