SHARE A SODA AND A KISS Where: Greater Harrington Historical Society Museum When: Saturday, Feb. 16, 1–4 p.m. Admission: $2–$4 Website: ghhsociety.org Looking for a place to spend your Valentine’s Day weekend? Here’s the perfect spot! Put a little twist on that special date with your sweetheart by bringing your valentine to the Greater Harrington Historical Society Museum for an old- fashioned soda or ice cream float. Floats and sodas will be served on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early! The museum will also give tours for couples among its historical relics, which will be decorated to celebrate the occasion.

LEAVE YOUR MARK ON DELAWARE HISTORY Where: Parke Green Galleries When: Daily, 10 a.m. Admission: Prices vary Website: ParkeGreenGalleries.com/events Former Delaware governor Michael Castle said, “Delaware was the whole country for five days,” and the people of Delaware know it. The Parke Building stands in place of the Golden Fleece Tavern, which is where the ratification transpired that declared Delaware the first state. Visitors wishing to walk upon the same site where our country began can enjoy the art and history and take home souvenirs. Visitors can also sign a tag and leave it on the wire and willow mobile sculpture with other tags that people from across the world have left during their visits.

Enjoy yourself this month with these events!

The cost covers materials, kiln costs, and two classes. In the first class, attendees will learn the basics of construction and mold their piece. During the following class, students will learn how to apply a glaze to their work.
