Day 4: Agra After a leisurely breakfast head out for your visit to Agra Fort. This walled imperial city was founded in 1565 and is a well-deserving UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its palaces, grand mosques and elaborate public hall are crafted from pink-red sandstone and are testament to an era when Indo-Muslim art, strongly marked by influences from Persia, was at its height. Continue to the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah, a Mughal mausoleum built for the grandfather of the Mumtaz Mahal, who the Taj Mahal was in turn built for. the tomb is colloquially known as the “jewel box”, or the “Baby Taj”. Day 5: Agra - Jaipur Transfer to Jaipur by car. En route, visit the abandoned city, Fatehpur Sikri in the province of Uttar Pradesh, which is one of the best preserved collections of Mughal architecture in India. Continue onto Abhaneri, a small village of the Dausa district in northern Rajasthan and home to one of the largest step wells in India. Your evening is free in Jaipur Day 6: Jaipur Enjoy a full-day city tour of Jaipur. Visit Amer Fort, where a jeep ride will spare you the trouble of walking up to the fortress. Reach the top of the Amer Fort and stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls, and learn about the Hindu and Mughal traditions that influenced the design of this impressive structure. You’ll also visit Jaipur City Palace. Day 7: Jaipur Enjoy a free day at leisure for further exploration of this fascinating, colourful city. Day 8: Jaipur - Goa Transfer to Jaipur airport for your short flight to Goa, on arrival transfer to your Goa Beach hotel. Days 9-14: Goa Enjoy your time in Goa with its blend of Indian & Portuguese cultures, beautiful beaches and spiritual heritage. Day 15: Fly from Goa to the UK After breakfast transfer in time for your departure flight.

Day 1: Fly from the UK to Delhi Meet your tour representative will be at the airport to transfer to your hotel. Spend the night at leisure. Day 2: Delhi Enjoy a full-day city tour of Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, see sights including Jama Masjid, one of Asia’s largest mosques; Chandni Chowk, Asia’s largest wholesale market; the Red Fort; and the Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. The tour continues in New Delhi, where you will visit Qutub Minar, the 16th century Humayun’s Tomb, and drive past India Gate. Day 3: Delhi - Agra Transfer to Agra by car. Later at dusk, visit the mesmerising Taj Mahal. This iconic building is not only an architectural masterpiece, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World - it’s also the enduring legacy of a royal love story. Combining Islamic, Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian design elements, it’s an awe-inspiring structure of elegant domes and white marble, which changes colour along with the light - pink at sunrise, pearly white in the afternoon and silver-gold in the full moon.
