Day 5: Petra - Royal Tombs Today is free for you to discover more of Petra’s buildings and scenery. Maybe climb up to the ‘High Place of Sacrifice’ or the ‘Monastery’. Evening brings a Bedouin cookery demonstration and dinner at a family-run restaurant. Day 6: Wadi Rum Desert by 4WD - Bedouin Camp Head to Wadi Rum Visitor Centre by bus for a two-hour 4WD jeep drive through Wadi Rum Desert. Experience an afternoon camel ride; before stories and mint and sage tea around the campfire and a traditional zarb feast and mezze. Sleep in a large communal-style Bedouin goat hair tent. Day 7: Aqaba - Optional Snorkelling Trip Enjoy a relaxing day in Aqaba on the Red Sea; famed for its coral reefs and unique sea life - an optional Travel to the Dead Sea to experience floating naturally on the calm high salt-content sea. Spend a couple of hours at a tourist beach. Drive to Amman for your last night with free time for shopping, sightseeing, and dining. Day 9: Fly from Amman to the UK Today is your last day of the tour. Say goodbye to the group and transfer to the airport to board your flight back to the UK snorkelling trip is available. Day 8: Dead Sea - Amman

Day 1: Fly from the UK to Amman Welcome to Jordan! There are no planned activities today - perhaps explore downtown Amman’s streets and souks. Day 2: Jerash and Amman’s Citadel Travel to Jerash - a preserved Roman provincial town with colonnaded streets, hilltop temples, theatres, and a chariot-racing stadium. Return to Amman after lunch for a walking tour; including the Citadel - Jabal al-Qal’a, downtown souk, Grand (King Hussein) Mosque, and an old-style café. Day 3: Mount Nebo - Madaba - Petra Visit the ‘City of Mosaics’ - Madaba - filled with hundreds of Byzantine-era mosaics. Continue to Mount Nebo; where Moses once stood to look over the Promised Land. Travel along King’s Highway to view Kerak’s stone- vaulted halls and passageways, before arriving in Petra. Perhaps take an optional candlelight tour of the ancient city. Day 4: Petra Discover the ‘rose-red city’ of Petra over the next two days with entrance fees included. A guided orientation tour is followed by free time for solo explorations. The site is accessed via the kilometre-long Siq chasm with the Treasury’s 43-metre-high façade at its end.
