LIFE IN CHRIST

In John 14:15 we have His pre requisite, "If ye love, keep my commandments." This is the qual ification to be a recipient of the promises. They are for those who love Christ and who display that love by obedience to His perfect will. In all of the New Testament there is really only one test of love and that is always obedience. This is how the Saviour showed His own submissiveness to the Father (15:10). Never forget that obedi ence and love are importantly tied together. They are inseparably in tertwined. had been given three earlier revel ations to help them in their hour of despair. They were reminded that He was God and that He would always have them in His care. Sec ondly, even though He left, they would continue to minister in mighty power, doing even greater works than before. Thirdly, He would still supply all their needs, caring for them as they besought Him in prayer. God's promises really shine in the dark. Christ now provides five more supernatural promises con cerning the lives of His followers.
