Prior to 2020, UK NMVOC emissions were largely steady. With the transport sector being the only major source of NMVOC emissions reductions. Comparatively, the industrial sector, which emitted 57% of the UK’s NMVOC emissions in 2020 actually saw an annual average increase in emissions of 0.25% between 2010 and 2019. In total, NMVOC emissions decreased by 5% in 2020 and has decreased by 54% since 2000.
