BOCCE Bocce (pronounced bot-chee) is a captivating sport with roots that trace back to ancient Rome, evolving into a modern game now enjoyed around the world. It’s a simple yet strategic game, played with a set of bocce balls and a smaller ball called the pallino. The objective is to roll the bocce balls closest to the pallino. Each ball of one team that is closest to the pallino scores a point until a ball of the other team becomes the next closest ball to the pallino. (Rules and game tips are displayed at the courts.) Our newly renovated courts offer a fantastic spot for both playing and spectating. Located behind the clubhouse, they’re located next to The Grille and bar, allowing you to easily grab a bite or a drink while enjoying the games. Use club balls and equipment – located near the courts – or use your own balls. It’s the perfect place to unwind, play, and socialize. Desert Horizons caters to all levels of interest and expertise in the sport of bocce. Bocce Boot Camp
