DAL spotlight November Edition

Jeff Russell Training, safety, and awareness are pivotal parts of being a safe driver, and he embodies all three. As a committed driver trainer, he is an asset in helping other drivers be the best they can be while on the road. Dispatch can always depend on him to get the job done right every time. He is married with three children, and outside of work he enjoys watching sports, spending time with his family and playing with their two German shepherds.

Kevin Harris Dedication and longevity are what we hope to get when we bring on new associates, and after 26yrs it’s easy to say that he brings those qualities to our team. He has worked his way up from working the dock, running City P&D and then settling into a shuttle driver role. He is married with 2 daughters and 1 grandson. He plans on retiring with Averitt and maybe trying a different role in DAL within the next few years. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and camping in Colorado.

Tyrone Green He was recruited by one of our City drivers but knew Averitt was the place for him based on our uniformity and professionalism. He came to us as a PT dock associate for 3yrs and is now moved into a FT dock role. He is inspired to grow within the company and take advantage of the driver training program soon. His leaders say that he “embodies the Averitt culture” and we appreciate his hard work every day.

She has been with us a little over a year, and her leaders appreciate her willingness to help, no matter the task. She has a “host of children” and enjoys singing, cooking, and playing basketball. We look forward to seeing what she accomplishes moving forward, all that she does she aims for the TOP!

Jason Williamson His leadership says he is a “man of many hats” and always does more than what is expected. Whether it is helping with deliveries on the Sprinter or leading the charge on special projects, he is dependable to get stuff done. His goal is to obtain his CDL thru the driver training program and continue to learn and grow within Averitt. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as volunteering with different charities.
