Building Sand Often referred to as bricklaying sand or river sand, Building Sand is characterised by its relatively smooth texture and reddish colour. Generally used with cement for pointing, generic building applications and bricklaying, Building Sand typically contains particles no larger than 2mm, resulting in a more pliable mix - essential where precision is required - and can be used alongside cement to create a mix to bed porcelain paving.
Use alongside Old Rectory Cobbles and Paving
Concrete Sand Often referred to as sharp or grit sand, Concrete Sand is often used as a top layer on aggregate sub-bases and can also be mixed with plastering and building sand in mortar mixes. Coarser than building sand, it is suitable for applications that require strength and solidity, such as concrete mixes, less flexible mortar mixes, and paving and floor screeds.
Old Rectory Walling Old Rectory Walling is created using a special weathering process that gives the stone a mature and elegant appearance. They can be laid using a uniform size to create a classic stone wall, or with all three sizes for a defining garden feature. These blocks are often tailored to create separate spaces, borders and flower beds, and are typically suited to older period properties.
