SPECIAL PERMISSIONS Permission to attend weddings or other special family events can be arranged by filling out a special permissions form. If these events take place on the first or last weekend of the semester or during Missions Conference, arrangements must be made directly with the Dean’s Office. If during the summer Ministry Practicum, they must be made with the Camp Director. Please plan to have all dental and medical work done during vacation periods. Vacation periods are listed in the school calendar. Students are not permitted to leave early or to return late but are expected to make travel arrangements which will enable them to arrive on time. If, however, it is convenient for the student to arrive a day earlier, they will be allowed to do so once they have contacted the Bible Institute. MINISTRIES The purpose of the Ministry Department is to provide training and opportunity for each student to participate in multiple, meaningful ministry experiences that have the potential to significantly impact the lives of others. As a result of their ministry and service assignment experiences, we want students to understand the importance of excellence in training, communication, coordination, and teamwork. Our desire is that at the end of the year, students feel they had a substantial role in the functioning of the Bible Institute and its impact on our community and the surrounding area.

1. Contribute to the total development of the student by teaching them to accept and to be faithful to the responsibility of ministry. 2. Place students in situations that stretch them and expand their vision. 3. Provide opportunities for students to serve together, learning teamwork, mutual dependence and cooperation. 4.
