Graduation Ceremony 2022
Foundation Degree in Pensions Administration and Management Best work-based project award 2022
Awarded to: Christopher Payne
Tutor: Diane Stevenson
We have received numerous work-based projects submitted by our pension students over the years, which displayed passion and clear aptitude. And this year was no exception, with students producing some fine work.
The work-based project was able to set a very high standard through the student’s work on this area, from submission of the initial proposal right through to submission of the main project.
The winner of the award’s work-based project produced a very good chapter on methodology and explained the three primary research methods well, which enabled them to capture their research and the required data very thoroughly. The student’s data analysis was excellent in detail and depth, and was well evidenced in their appendices.
“The Graduation Ceremony has been amazing, receiving the award and seeing the presentation has been absolutely fantastic. The feeling of going up on stage was exhilarating and just overwhelming, it was unbelievable. I had a fantastic day.” Christopher Payne
Foundation Degree in Pensions Administration and Management Student of the year award 2022
Awarded to: Stephen Paines
Tutor: Diane Stevenson
The recipient of this year’s student of the year award for pensions has maintained a very high standard of work at a very consistent level throughout the year.
Their tutor wrote: “The student’s grades ranged between B+ to A, which evidences this achievement. Additionally, they submitted a work-based project of a similarly high standard to their other work, which had a theme of significant value to their employer in looking to address the loss of their payroll clients.”
“I was really surprised when I first heard that I had won a further award and it felt surreal. The course was demanding and no walk in the park. I was stretched and challenged by the course content, which is a sign of good education.
“The course enabled me to develop as an individual, refine my technical skills as well as to reflect upon options for the future. I studied every day in the lead up to the exams and for all of year three and believe this contributed to the outcome. I am grateful to my tutor, Diane Stevenson for being my guide through this academic journey.” Stephen Paines
