The power of Rotary is opening doors for

The Arch Klumph Society, named after the sixth president of Rotary recognizes The Rotary Foundation's highest tier of donors — those who have contributed $250,000 or more during their lifetime.

community service that ordinarily would be missed opportunities.

A fine example of this is when Susan Cowley, a Dallas North Rotary member saw a need at Faith Family Charter School. Susan is unique from other members of society. Because her son has severe autism, Susan is proactive in training and programs to learn about the brain, exercises and therapies to help the program to become smarter and healthier. She volunteers at least 3 days a week at FFA early childhood development. She does very specific exercises with the young students. One girl, in particular, was quite disruptive, had ADHD while also having a hard time focusing. After several weeks of Susan’s volunteer hours, this student’s focus has improved; her grades have improved along with her behavior. This is an example of how when we partner with our community, organically, things start to happen. This event was not on the “punch list” of Dallas North Rotary’s To Do list, instead, through the power of networking, partnering, volunteering, and asking to fill a need where vision is, shows how One person Can be the Change in a Sea of over a million Rotarians. ~ Article contributed by Cheryl Drane Skipworth, Rotary Club of Dallas North
