Cameron Clemmons enters his third season with the Raiders and his second as the team’s assistant offensive line coach. He previously held the role of offensive quality control coach with Las Vegas in 2020. In 2021, Clemmons worked with an offensive line that helped pave the way for the sixth-ranked passing offense (268.6 yards per game) in the NFL. Despite constant shuffling on the unit, the offense recorded a 4,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard receiver. The offensive line helped RB Josh Jacobs rank in the top-4 in the league in rushing yards per game (94.0) over the final four weeks of the season (Weeks 15-18). Clemmons saw C Andre James, G John Simpson and T Brandon Parker make career highs in starts, while G/T Alex Leatherwood became the first rookie offensive lineman to start in every contest since 2018. In 2020, Clemmons assisted a tight ends unit that led the league in receptions (128) and yards after catch (661) and ranked second in receiving yards (1,419) and receiving touchdowns (13). With Clemmons’ help, TE Darren Waller posted one of the most historic receiving campaigns in franchise history and earned his first Pro Bowl selection after posting career highs in receiving yards (1,196) and touchdowns (nine), while setting a new club record with 107 receptions. Prior to joining the Raiders, Clemmons spent five years coaching at the collegiate level. In 2019, Clemmons finished his first year as an offensive quality control analyst for Tennessee. The team posted an 8-5 record, marking a three-win improvement from the 2018 campaign. The eight wins also marked the most by the program since 2016. Under Clemmons’ guidance, G Trey Smith earned first-team All-SEC honors, while both T Wanya Morris and T Darnell Wright garnered freshman All-American and freshman All-SEC accolades in 2019. The program earned its first bowl game appearance since 2016, completing the season with a win over Indiana in the Gator Bowl. Clemmons first joined Tennessee as a graduate assistant from 2016- 18. In 2016, Clemmons primarily mentored the running backs, guiding RBs Alvin Kamara and John Kelly each to 500-plus rushing yards on the season. Kamara was selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, while Kelly was drafted in the sixth round in 2018. While in his assistantship with the Volunteers, Clemmons participated in the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship with the New England Patriots in 2017, working with club throughout the offseason program, minicamp and training camp to gain coaching experience. Clemmons began his coaching career in 2015 as an offensive intern at Eastern Kentucky.
