FRED WALKER OFFENSIVE ASSISTANT 1ST SEASON IN NFL • 1ST SEASON WITH RAIDERS

who set school records for rushing yards by a quarterback (986), total offense (4,435), total touchdowns (41), completion percentage (.62), passing yards (3,449), 200-yard passing games (12) and passing touchdowns (27) in 2014. Among his other duties at Mississippi State, he helped break down opponent film and develop scouting reports, was the offensive signal caller during games, and helped build the offensive playbook. PERSONAL: A native of Canton, Miss., Walker graduated from Mississippi State in 2014 with a degree in kinesiology…He earned a graduate degree in criminal justice from Troy in 2016. Walker is married to the former Jamie Holley.

Frederick Walker enters his first season with the Raiders as an offensive assistant in 2022. Walker joins the Silver and Black having spent the previous 11 seasons coaching at the college level. In 2021, Walker served as the quarterbacks coach at Massachusetts after one year coaching wide receivers for Murray State in 2020. Walker served as an offensive assistant at Duke from 2018-19, where he worked primarily with the quarterbacks. Under Walker’s guidance, QB Daniel Jones was a two-time team Most Valuable Player with the Blue Devils and finished his final season completing 237-of-392 passes (60 percent) for 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions, while rushing for 319 yards and three TDs. During the 2017 season, Walker served as wide receivers coach at Tennessee Tech, where he helped WR Dontez Byrd earn All-OVC first team honors after setting new school records for receptions (78) and receiving yards (1,003), while ranking 10th nationally for receptions per game (7.1) and 18th in receiving yards per game (91.2). Walker spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Troy University from 2015-16. In 2016, he helped QB Brandon Silvers, WR Emanuel Thompson and RB Jordan Chunn earn first team All-Sun Belt honors. While in his assistantship with Mississippi State, Walker helped coach the Bulldogs’ wide receivers from 2011-2012 before working primarily with the quarterbacks from 2013-2015.
