Hemfast bonding tape: (I t’s a mesh piece that bonds two fabrics together when ironed or pressed) You will have one piece with each medal you buy to bond the two ends of the ribbon together in the end.

Silk Ribbon: Make sure to heat seal the ribbon ends with a lighter or candle. Hold the ribbon edge with a long nose plier close to the flame. Don ’ t hold it for long. Just seal it.

1. First, you will sublimate your medal as per the instructions, also listed under this tab on the online store. 2-Tone sublimer instructions and other material instructions will be here depending on the type of medal you bought. Also, what specific glue to use for 2-Tone sublimer that will not damage the sublimer when glued to another substrate. Make sure not to miss any instructions.

2. You will now sublimate your ribbon. Print your small logos on sublimation paper. Set your press to 190 degrees and 60 seconds.

3. Place the first part of your ribbon on the Teflon sheet, and secure the ribbon with heat tape to your Teflon so that it doesn ’ t move or fall around. I like to put a piece of copy paper underneath my ribbon to prevent it from getting dirty.

4. Place the print face down on the ribbon, and secure it again with heat tape.

5. Cover the silk that is exposed to the press element with silicone paper or copy paper. Press for 60 seconds. Then remove the print.

6. Put the second section of the ribbon into the press. Put the print on top, secure it with heat tape, and cover the print again with copy paper or silicone paper. The part of the ribbon that is already printed, you need to cover with a copy paper that is folded twice. You don ’ t want your print to fade when exposed to the element the second time.

7. Repeat the above steps until the ribbon is completely printed.

8. Put the ribbon through the slot on the medal.

9. You will now bond the two ribbon edges together by wrapping the ribbon around your heat press or the corner of your heat-press, whichever fits best to get the two ends of the ribbon together. I use heat tape to hold the ribbon on the Teflon sheet so that it doesn ’ t fall off.

10. Take the Hemfas tape piece and put it on the edge of one of the ribbons. Don ’ t let it go over the silk ribbon edge, it will bind to your press or whatever it gets in contact with.

11. Place the other edge of the ribbon over the Hemfast piece, line it up perfectly, and secure it with heat tape so that it doesn ’t move.

12. Cover the ribbon with silicone paper or copy paper and press on 190 degrees Celsius for about 5-10 seconds. Let it cool a bit before you remove it from the heat press very carefully.

13. Please note, that you can use a sewing machine instead of the hemfast. This is only for people who do not have a sewing machine.
