Description

KU graduate students will lead Girl Scouts on a nature walk around the Hidden Valley Campground, KU Field Station, or another nature area near KU campus. We will discover the biodiversity of northeast Kansas on a casual and exploratory nature walk. Girl Scouts will learn how to use field guides to identify what they observe in the wild. They will also learn how naturalists find, capture, and preserve plant, animal, insect, and fossil specimens. Using what they have learned, Girl Scouts will create their own field guide notebook.
