During this two-hour journey experience, Girl Scouts will learn the science behind energy in our world and how to decrease our usage to help the environment. They will also plan a Take Action project that educates the public about environmental issues affected by energy. * Leadership award activities are the responsibility of the troop leader after their workshop. During this two-hour journey experience, Girl Scouts will learn about global environmental issues and come up with solutions that create change. They will also plan a Take Action project that addresses a problem that they are passionate about. * Leadership award activities are the responsibility of the troop leader after their workshop. * During this two-hour journey experience, Girl Scouts will learn the how and why of all things food and explore it's importance in the world. They will also plan a Take Action project that addresses a food-related issue in their community. * Leadership award activities are the responsibility of the troop leader after their workshop. * During this journey, Girl Scouts will become citizen scientists for a day! They will learn how to observe, research, and collect data with projects that positively impact the environment and the scholars that study it. * SciStarter projects will not be done during the zoo workshop, but troop leaders are encouraged to gain permission to conduct research at the zoo afterwards. * (1 ½ hours for Daisies & Brownies) (2 hours for Juniors and up).
