No one is pretending tech is a new thing in insurance. Platforms and tools have been improving operational efficiency and client experience for a couple of decades or more now. However, tech moves fast. And, anecdotally at least, insurance as a sector hasn’t moved as fast as some others in changing its practices, implementing new technology and realising the potential.
Constrained by legacy systems, outdated practices and compliance issues, some elements of insurance have been slower to move than others – often to the detriment of themselves more than anyone else.
