QUEEN’S PARK CAMPUS

In 2021, we opened our brand-new campus Queen’s Park, just a short ten-minute walk from our Kilburn campus!

This exciting new project has seen us redevelop the site of the permanently closed three story Corrib Rest pub in Queen’s Park as part of a four-year £2.5 million local community development project. Situated at 76–78 Salusbury Road (NW6 6PA), only a five-minute walk from the Queen’s Park Underground and Overground station, the Corrib Rest pub has been closed since February 2015. The building has now been transformed

into a second site for ICMP, expanding our existing 20,000 sq ft footprint by an additional 14,000 sq ft.

Our range of music production degrees, such as the BA Music for Film, TV and Games, BA Audio Engineering and MA Creative Music Production, are taught from this new site, as well as various other programmes utilising our fabulous new live music venue and additional tech rooms. The redevelopment project will take place across several phases. The first phase of development saw us launch three high-end recording studios, including a state-of-the-art post-production facility (including foley room), and a mixing and mastering studio. Phase two of the project was completed in September 2022. This saw the opening of our very own gig venue , complete with a fully fitted PA system and lighting rig, plus a new student café. Phase two also saw additional tech rooms, classrooms and production rooms added as we opened up a new floor of the substantial building. The building is now fully accessible with a brand-new lift installed. The final phase of the redevelopment will see the launch of further tech suites, classrooms, tracking suites and small collaboration spaces, as well as professional services, in the remaining space within this sizable building. We have been very pleased to work with the award-winning Veale Associates on the design of the new space. Director Eddie Veale is a pioneer of the home studio, having been named as recipient of the prestigious sound fellowship from the Association of Professional Recording Services back in 2012. Eddie has worked with some of the music industry’s biggest artists, designing the studio where John Lennon recorded ‘Imagine’.
