Aj Vejvej jedan je od najuticajnijih savremenih umetnika. Pre pet godina ovom kontroverznom Kinezu komunistička vlada oduzela je pasoš. Tek nedavno mu je vraćen i on se trijumfalno vratio u Njujork. Došao je sa instalacijama koje je postavio u četiri galerije: Lison u Čelsiju, galerije Meri Bun ( Aptaun i Dauntaun ) i Dič projekat u Sohou. Instalacija u galeriji u Čelsiju predstavlja ogromno drvo, visoko skoro osam metara. Napravljena je od osušenih grana koje je umetnik doneo iz Kine, i to iz sopstvene bašte. Ova postavka je odlična uvertira za instalaciju na Petoj aveniji, koja je napravljena od porcelanskih komadića. Čak 40.000 malih delova precizno je poređano ukrug. Radove ovog umetnika možete da vidite do kraja decembra. Mary Boone Gallery, 541W 24 th St, exhibition Ai Weiwei Roots and Branches Ai Weiwei is one of the most influential contemporary artists. China’s communist government confiscated this controversial artist’s passport five years ago. It was only returned to him recently, and he made a triumphant return to New York. He came with installations that he displayed in four galleries: Lisson Gallery in Chelsea, two Mary Boone Galleries (Uptown and Downtown) and the Deitch Projects in Soho. The installation in the Chelsea gallery represents a huge tree, almost eight metres tall. It is made from dead branches that the artist brought from China, from his own garden. This setting provides the perfect prelude to the installation on Fifth Avenue, which is made of porcelain pieces. It has as many 40,000 small parts precisely lined up in a circle. You can see this artist’s works until the end of December. Augustine Restaurant, 5 Beekman Street, Beekman Hotel, Wall Street; chefs Shane McBride and Daniel Parilla Keith McNally might not be a famous name, but he is certainly one of the pioneers of the hospitality industry. New Yorkers very happily recall the 1980s and “The Odeon” in the then still unexplored Tribeca. The list of the most prominent brunch venues and restaurants that are open until late at night (such as Balthazar, Minetta Tavern and Cherche Midi) saw a new addition this autumn in the form of McNally’s first hotel- restaurant “Augustine” at the Beekman Hotel. French cuisine with American style, including steak tartare with Japanese Yuzukoshō seasoning, spicy goose liver and dishes from the grill. If you are not a fan of meat, order the aioli of vegetables and seafood, and spaghetti with crab in a spicy sauce. Restored old furniture and massive mirrors are part of an interior design that has been inspired by traditional French cafés.

Njujorčani se vrlo rado sećaju osamdesetih i Odeona u tada još neistraženoj Tribeki. Listi najaktuelnijih branč mesta i restorana koji rade do kasno u noć (poput Baltazara , Mineta taverne , Čerč midi ) ove jeseni Mekneli dodao je svoj prvi hotel restoran Augustin u hotelu Bikman . Francuska jela na američki način uključuju tatar biftek u juzu košu, pikantnu guščju džigericu i jela sa grila. Ukoliko niste ljubitelj mesa, poručite ajoli od povrća i morskih plodova i špagete od krabe u ljutom sosu. Restaurirani stari nameštaj i masivna ogledala deo su enterijera inspirisanog tradicionalnim francuskim kafeom.
