Our students benefit from having access to a dedicated Employability Team. Employability is actively promoted and an important focus throughout your studies. The team has a track-record of getting students into employment and offer support for 5 years after graduation. They help with:

There are numerous opportunities to advance your employability throughout your student experience, such as:
• The SPIN (Swansea Paid Internship Network), which connects students to employers for 4 week internships. • The WoW (Week of Work), which offers students a 1 week, ‘tester’ placement with a wide range of organisations. • The ‘Santander Universities Work Placement Programme’, which provides undergraduates with paid work experience for 1 month at a local Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) over the summer break. • The ‘Santander Universities SME Internship Programme’, which provides recent graduates with paid work experience for 3 months at a local SME. This can occur at any point in the year after graduation.

I work as a tax assistant, alongside completing my qualification to become a chartered accountant. The majority of my time is spent preparing tax returns, however I am often tasked with jobs that I have not encountered before, which ensures that I am always expanding my knowledge. I enjoy that each day is not the same and I am not doing repetitive tasks day in and day out. I am always learning and improving my knowledge, which will be useful in future years.
