The Midland Chamber had the exciting opportunity to host the quarterly West Texas Chamber Executive Meeting, bringing together Chamber leaders from across the region, including Odessa, Stanton, Levelland and Post. This “meeting of the minds” provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and opportunities facing our communities, and share ways Chambers can continue strengthening West Texas through collaboration. YPM LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON
Young Professionals of Midland welcomed Mayor Lori Blong for its Leadership Luncheon on September 10, where she shared insights on Midland’s continued growth, economic development and leadership. Mayor Blong highlighted AST SpaceMobile’s expansion into Midland, which is expected to bring approximately 1,800 jobs to the community and further diversify the region’s economy beyond the energy sector.
As Midland’s first female mayor, Mayor Blong also reflected on female leadership and the importance of women having a voice in shaping their communities. Thank you to Young Professionals of Midland and Mayor Blong for an insightful conversation on leadership and the future of Midland!
