Special Recommendation - One Way Loop The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (referred to henceforth as ‘Seminary’) is where the Town of Wake Forest was founded. A two lane road (one road in each direction) currently surrounds the Seminary. Some street segments feature parking and sidewalks, while others do not.
This section includes existing traffic and safety conditions, geographic constraints, and future congestion on the roads surrounding the Seminary and provides preliminary recommendation for those roads.

This block was where the Town of Wake Forest was founded. This neighborhood is listed in the National and Local Historic Register. This limits widening of roads to accommodate additional vehicular or pedestrian traffic and substantially altering the character of the neighborhood.

The NC-98 Bypass constructed in 2006 was expected to relieve traffic crossing the downtown core of Wake Forest. The traffic has steadily increased in this area since the initial decrease observed immediately after the construction of NC-98 Bypass.
