Existing Road Layout
• Trucks experience difficulties making turns along the narrow intersections which causes frequent backups on E South Ave and E Roosevelt Ave. • Many of these streets have on-street parking which needs to be retained based on the concerns raised by people during the second public meeting.
• S Main St, E South Ave and N Main St are a part of US-1 Alt. South Ave and E Roosevelt Ave are a part of NC-98. • Tractor trailers, trucks and other large vehicles cross this area in the North-South and East-West directions. • Widening of Durham Rd and Stadium Dr is expected to increase traffic crossing this area.
