That was my first thought when I received the annual communication from BCN looking for our Supplier Report. I think we all were aware 2022 was going to be a manufacturers, our steel suppliers had a difficult time cop- ing with our requirements and ‘juggling’ became a favorite pastime to keep up with demand. Our investment in the new 5.5M CNC in 2021 paid huge dividends with the num- ber of cylinders on order and the timescales required. “Personnel continued to be a challenge for our compa- ny. With six plants strategically positioned around the US, keeping plants fully staffed and new employees retained was an ongoing issue, and in my opinion, is one that is going to continue into the next downturn. This, of course, came with added costs, as all employers have seen. Cou- pled with the increasing costs for our essential materials kept our business in a state of fluidity for the year. “Happily, our excellent sales team was able to get back to a regular schedule of visits to customers, whatever ‘regular’ means in the post-Covid world, and many of our sales territories set new records.
