Discover the diverse landscapes of rugged mountains, winding coastlines, and turquoise seas on this family adventure through the very best of Albania.
Arrive in Tirana, the colourful capital of Albania with its vibrant arts scene, café culture, and diverse architecture. Explore the city at your leisure, from visiting the remains of the Church of St. Procopius, or checking out Pazari i Ri, an open-air market, there’s plenty to do and see. Drive south, stopping by the river Vjosa for lunch and enjoying a refreshing swim in the crystal blue waters. On arrival in Gjirokaster, climb to the upper parts of the town to visit the historic castle, before heading to the Old Bazaar area and enjoying dinner in one of the town’s many restaurants. Journey to the Vjosa River and enjoy an adrenaline-filled experience rafting the streams with their glistening waters and scenic islands. Head for a traditional Albanian lunch and take a short hike along the banks of the river Benja.
Continue towards the Ionian Sea, to Porto Palermo, and visit the Ali Pasha fortress, surrounded by clear blue waters, before making your way to Himara to explore at your own pace. Drive to Vlora and head out on a rib boat ride across the turquoise waters of the Karaburun and Sazan Island Maritime Park. Choose to explore the old town Vlora, a recently renovated picture-postcard setting. Visit the UNESCO-listed site of Apollonia before making your way up Mount Dajti for an impressive view of the entire city of Tirana. Let loose at Dajti Adventure Park, tackling a range of obstacle courses including suspension bridges and zip lines, before heading back down the mountain to enjoy one last dinner.
