Embark on a culturally immersive journey through China, uncovering insightful history, delicious cuisine and unforgettable experiences.
Your adventure begins in Beijing where you’ll tick one of the Seven Wonders of the World off your bucket list, the Great Wall of China. Stretching 6000km west from Beijing, it was constructed to protect Chinese empires from invaders and continues to be one of the country’s most remarkable achievements. Afterwards, head to a local guest house for a dumpling making demonstration. The next day, explore Beijing’s symbolic Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City before boarding an overnight train to Xi’an where the iconic Terracotta Warriors await you. See for yourself over 1000 warriors, each with a different costume, height and facial expression before heading back to Xi’an for a walking tour of the historic Silk Road, famed for its exciting mix of cultures. Board the iconic bullet train to Chengdu and transfer to Mount Qingcheng. On the way, stop for a visit to
the Chengdu Panda Breeding Centre and learn all about their breeding program and how they introduce pandas back into the wild. When you finally reach Mount Qingcheng, explore the ancient town at the foot of the mountain, and wander through quaint streets lined with houses built hundreds of years ago. After a couple days of exploration in Chengdu, travel to Yangshuo and immerse yourself in the best of China’s natural scenery as you head into the breathtaking countryside, gaining a true insight into rural Chinese life. Your final stop awaits you in Hong Kong where you’ll explore the vibrant cityscapes on a walking tour before preparing for your journey home.
