This Accessory Package is intended to retrofit a standard GEMCO 400-gallon base tank for ammonia venting with a Green Ladder 10 gpm Ammonia Scrubber designed to reduce odor by filtration media.
Prior to shipment, base tank modifications include: » Replacing the manway gasket with a Teflon encapsulated Viton gasket (GEMCO PN NN-0098-00). » Modifying the standard 11/2” vent hose to include a polypropylene quick-connect fitting and dust cap to connect to the scrubber. All accessories (manifold, level gage, transfer and vent hoses) are assembled to the base tank when purchased with a containment basin. They are packaged and attached to the base tank for field installation whenever basins are not included. In both cases, the scrubber is shipped on a separate pallet.
The Scrubber (Green Ladder PN F50010) measures 20”W x 24”D x 27”H and weighs approximately 300 pounds. It is ready for use upon receipt. Just connect the 11/2” vent hose quick-connect fitting to the unit.
Remove the dust cap on the Scrubber and attach the 11/2” vent hose. Then connect the vent hose to the Scrubber by pulling down the locking arms. Remove the four (4) lids on the Scrubber during the filling process. When filling is complete, remove the vent hose and replace the dust cap. In addition, replace the lids and close them tightly. The process media will be prematurely spent otherwise.
