U plavoj kući na početku šora bili su oduševlje- ni svim što ih okružuje. and his five graphics were prin- ted in gold. That year Dali only got four gold prints! As you walk through Martin’s house every detail attracts atten- tion. This painter was also a pas- sionate collector. In his home the- re are more than 3,000 decorative plates from the period of the Au- stro-Hungarian monarchy, books from the year 1700, furniture from the late 19 th century, Orthodox icons painted on glass, all of whi- ch represent a real treasure. There is also a blue room, and it was in those very beds where the world’s biggest stars slept. On one occasi- on Martin was visited by Alain De- lon with his girlfriend. That eve- ning Zuza made up their beds and in the morning she told her hus- band, stunned: “Martin, these gue- sts of yours live in sin. Last night

I made two beds, but only one has been disturbed!” The hardworking Zuza was Martin’s biggest inspira- tion. He made his most beautiful pictures from the stories she brou- ght from the village. Jonaš was loved by everyone, both politicians and critics, and he had his greatest admirers in the band without which the mu- sic world would be unthinkable. When the Rolling Stones perfor- med in Zagreb in 1976 they were eager to head to Kovačica. They spent seven days at Jonaš’s place. And they did not behave like stars, because they were guests of a true superstar. In the blue house at the beginning of the country lane they were delighted with everything that surrounded them. Most of all the fine dust on the dirt road in front of Martin's house.
