The Muse at Grant Avenue Station in Plainfield, NJ J.G. Petrucci and TD+Partners to break ground on $30m economic development project P

LAINFIELD, NJ — On Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m., Mayor Adrian Mapp, The Plainfield City Council, and South Second Street Re- development ( J.G. Pe- trucci and TD+Partners ) were joined by Congress- woman Bonnie Watson Cole- man, Assemblyman Jerry Green, and Freeholder Linda Carter to break ground on a $30 million housing and economic development proj- ect. The Muse at Grant Av- enue Station is the largest mixed-use new construction project in Plainfield in over

40 years. The multi-phase development will consist of the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility for ABC Supply Company Inc., a major wholesale supplier of building products, followed by the construction of a 5-story multi-family building comprised of 90 residential units. “This is a very significant project for the City of Plain- field as we continue our re- naissance. This high-impact development will provide employment opportunities, millions in economic activ- ity, housing, and serve as

a magnet for more high- quality development. ABC Supply Company is a valued and respected employer in our community, and I am glad they chose to expand and invest more in our great city,” said Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp. “We are very pleased to be working with the City of Plainfield and ABC Supply Company. This public pri- vate partnership has been rewarding for our compa- ny, but I expect it will be even more rewarding for the community," said Greg Rogerson , principal of J.G. Petrucci Company, Inc. The first phase of the development is the con- struction of ABC Supply Company’s new home, an innovative 44,000 s/f office and commercial facility that will allow the company to expand its operations. Half of ABC Supply Company’s employees are residents of Plainfield. Additionally, city residents will receive preference for the new em- ployment opportunities that the expansion will create. The full site development will also generate approxi- mately 200 jobs during the 2-3 year construction phase along with opportunities for apprenticeship positions for Plainfield youth. “We are extremely proud to be a part of this important economic development proj- ect for the City of Plainfield, and we are grateful to the Mayor and Council for their leadership and ongoing sup- port. Our goal is to build proj- ects that create meaningful opportunities for residents and deliver real economic value to communities. This project keeps that promise as well as revitalizes an area in need,” said Patrick Terborg , co-developer and co-founder of TD + Partners. The residential portion of The Muse at Grant Avenue Station will feature 90 dis- tinctively designed units, a resident fitness center, state- of-the-art security controls, onsite parking, and a com- munity room. The building will also integrate sustain- able design and energy-effi- cient systems. Construction of this phase of the project will begin shortly after the December 2016 completion of the ABC Supply Company building. n
