Cybersecurity Guidelines for Digital Financial Asset Trading Providers in Indonesia

Consumer Protection As part of responsible governance principles, Providers are required to ensure transparency, accountability, and protection of consumer rights , particularly in the management and storage of digital assets. All forms of interaction and management of consumer data or assets must be conducted openly and securely, in order to build trust and prevent losses due to systemic errors or misuse. a. Information Transparency P roviders must offer clear, accurate, and accessible information to consumers regarding: 1.  The asset storage methods , including the use of hot wallets and/or cold wallets. 2.  Asset recovery procedures , whether in the context of access loss, system failure, or security incidents. 3. The limitations of the Providers’ responsibility in the event of unauthorized access, as well as the consumer’s role in securing their credentials. All such information must be communicated through official media and included in the service agreement documents (terms and conditions) and privacy policies, which must be updated regularly.
