Canada’s 45th federal election is scheduled for April 28, 2025. This might be a snap election, but that does not mean your vote should be a snap decision. Do not let mainstream media sway your decision or make you think your vote does not matter. Get the facts from the parties and your riding’s candidates, understand their policies and mandates, and then decide based on the facts and what you want Canada to look like moving forward. Staying with politics, we have a Q&A session with Premier Tim Houston about the recent Nova Scotia Provincial election and what is in store for Nova Scotia over the next four years with his party’s super-majority Progressive Conservative mandate. As things start to warm up, we are excited to spotlight some more phenomenal Atlantic Canadian tourism and hospitality brands. We had the opportunity to chat with Allison Langley, General Manager of Ingonish Chalets, about this cozy year-round getaway on the Cabot Trail, where everyone is welcome. Then it was over to Prince Edward Island to sit down with Samantha Hughes, co-owner of The Birches Cottages, and learn about the brand’s legacy of Family, Peace, and Island Life as they get ready for what we believe will be an extremely busy tourism season in Atlantic Canada. Next, we head to Atlantic Canada’s biggest island, Newfoundland, to speak with Curtis Roebotham, owner and founder of The Homestead Adventures, about how the brand has become one of Newfoundland’s top outdoor adventures and upscale camping experiences. If glamping is your thing, then you need to read our story on Estrella Glamping. We chat with Véronique Godin about why guests are making their way to Village-Blanchard on the Acadian Peninsula in the northeastern corner of New Brunswick, NB, for Rich Acadian culture, stretches of warm, sandy beaches, unspoiled nature, and a bubble glamping experience that is second to none. In addition to our top picks for Canadian Summer Country Music festivals, our Emerging Artist Spotlight Series features Natalie Lynn and her band LOVIET. Yes, we know that Loviet is not in the country genre, but you cannot deny that this radiant alt-indie pop Sheburn-born singer-songwriter powerhouse and her Nova Scotia band are getting noticed internationally for her catchy hooks, emotional lyrics, and incredible high-energy live stage shows. My team and I want to thank everyone who made this issue possible. We look forward to sharing more stories about growing industries, successful businesses, brands, events, and the entrepreneurs making it all happen.
